Dr. Frank Rowe

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have a job that, amongst other things, requires me to read extensively and reflect on the art of teaching physical education. I am currently studying for a PhD in Education (part-time) which is further extending my academic knowledge in the area.

I am Deputy Director of Sport at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and have lectured in Teacher-Training Elementary (Primary, 7-11) PE for 12 years and in Early Years PE (3-7) for 6 years.

I am a qualified coach in Football (soccer) and tennis and have worked with children from school to international level in these sports.

In my leisure time I enjoy/endure playing golf and despite my best efforts have still not got down to scratch!

I welcome any questions in the area of Elementary/ Primary/Early Years PE - but would like to emphasise that my experience is in British (Welsh) PE and so there may be international issues that I am less familiar with.
