The purpose of this award is to recognize organizations, institutions , individuals who made the most outstanding contribution to the profession in creating respectable, well designed, useful, informative, interesting and unique P.E. & Sports sites.
Our aim is to bring together a directory of the best sites out there so that other colleagues can come and take inspiration from the current best P.E. sites available on the net.

Sites must have a primary focus on:
- P.E. and related subjects.
- Useful p.e. learning experiences
- New ideas, for example : new practical methods to teach...
- Creative p.e. brainstorming
- A constructive interactivity with the target group(s)
- ICT in the practise of P.E.
- Content . Content should either inform, educate or entertain. Does your site make a positive contribution to the Internet? Even if you have an excellent idea or great topic for discussion, does your writing style provoke reader interest? Do you show that you care?
Target groups:
- p.e. teachers
- students
- coaches
- teachers
- everyone who is interested in p.e. and sports.
Technical:
- Sites need to be completed and functional.
- Sites should be easy to navigate to anywhere, and from anywhere within the site.
- The menu should be easy to use and care taken to prevent your visitor from becoming lost, confused, or forced to use the BACK button on the browser. Do your pages have a provision to return to the top? Can your home page be reached with one click from anywhere on your site? Do all external links open in a new window? Are all internal links working? (4 or more broken internal links will end the evaluation)
Design:
- The pages should be eye appealing and the text easy to read with good contrast to the page background.
Exclusion Criteria :
- Sites that aren't regular updated will be removed from the list!
- Pages of nothing but links will be discounted, and websites that are little more than this will be rejected outright.
- Error codes or "Page not Found" notices are not acceptable for any internal links.
- "Under Construction" notices are not acceptable.

P.E. Award Committee:
The award is selected by The P.E. Award Committee a subcommittee of the Editorial Board of SportaPolis.
Our Committee will visit the nominated web site, apply the criteria for the award presentation and either vote for approval or non approval.
Based upon our judges unanimous approval and a average score of 80, a web site is notified that they have received the nomination for the P.E. Award and are asked to add the award to the appropriate page. Upon receipt, we will include their web site in our list of award winners. |
