Chicago Bulls: The Team That Michael Jordan Built

There is probably no other player to date that can compete with the player that helped the Chicago Bulls do a fantastic double three-peat. Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls down a path of fame and glory with his spectacular game play and undeniable charisma on and off the court. The Chicago Bulls got the young Jordan when the 1984 draft pick made them the third team to choose their new player for that year and they chose the shooting guard from the University of North Carolina.

The Chicago Bulls proved to be a formidable team once all the right pieces came together and when the vivacious Michael Jordan got paired up with Scottie Pippen, a small forward that joined the Chicago Bulls in 1987. This pairing is considered one of the most successful tandems in NBA history. Michael Jordan proved his worth to the ball club with the two rounds of three-peats that the team got in the 1990s. His sudden retirement after the murder of his father shocked the basketball community but nobody expected that that was not the last they would see of the Chicago Bulls star.

Michael Jordan returned to the court after a year plus of retirement. He came back to the Chicago Bulls and tried to help them recover from the rather disappointing season the team had. While the 1995 season was not as good as they wanted it to be, with Jordan being a bit rusty from lack of active play since he retired, the following 3 years was a different story with the Chicago Bulls bagging another three-peat. This streak ended with Jordan claiming his fifth MVP award and finally left the Bulls for a final time. Since then the team still has to win a single title after this era and the new batch of players will definitely be hard pressed to live up to their mighty predecessor.
