The career of Jimmie Johnson began with the two wheeled kind since he started racing 50cc racing bikes while he was 5 years old. He soon moved up in class to the 60cc motor bikes by the time he was 8 and won in his class despite some knee injuries. He soon saw himself racing cars and started with a few off-road vehicle competitions before he found himself racing for NASCAR in the Busch Series. The year was 1999 and Jimmie Johnson was soon under Herzog Motorsports competing in the Busch Series in earnest. He won a single Busch Series race in 2001 and had 22 top tens for the series.
His NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship titles came to him in 2006 and in 2007 and are the highlight of his career so far. Also included in the accolades and awards that Jimmie Johnson has are his championship wins for the Daytona 500, the Aaronn's 499 and the All State 400 at the Brickyard. These awards also made Jimmie Johnson distinctly a driver that is to be reckoned with since nobody has ever won all four races in one year. He is also to be credited with a record three-in-a-row for the Coca Cola 600s and is the first driver to win four races in a row since 1998.
